Welcome
Hampton Health are now registering New NHS patients. Please ask at reception for details.
New Clinical System
In June the practice will be moving to a new clinical system called SystmOne.
This is a system other practices locally are moving to and is widely used by other practice across England.
SystmOne has all of the functionality of our current clinical system but also allows us to do much more.
Part of the changeover process will be a period where data will be transferred from our old system to our new one. Please don’t worry – we are not guinea pigs and this process has been done many times before without loss of any information and we are doing a lot of checks prior to the change over to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
There will however be a short period between 12th June and 15th June when any information we take during consultations or as part of the registration process will not be part of the automatic transfer of information and we will have to record this in the new system once it has been installed.
To limit the amount of information we have to re-input you will notice some temporary changes to our services from the beginning of June.
We will be:
- Limiting our range of surgeries during this period, but you will still be able to see a GP or nurse if you need to.
- Issuing repeat prescriptions early or issuing them in batches of 2 or 3 so that the pharmacy will have a prescription for you during the change over period.
- Not offering any future appointments beyond Friday 15th June. On Monday 18th June we will set up appointments in our new system and you should be able to book an appointment up to 6 weeks in advance.
- If you wish to register with the practice between 7th June and 15th June you can complete your registration forms and leave them with us to process and we will complete your registration after 18th June.
- Likewise if you give us any changes to your details like a change of phone number or address we will change those on our new system after 18th June.
We apologise in advance for any disruptions or inconvenience you may experience during the switchover period, but we will try to keep this to a minimum.
Appointment Reminders
We have temporarily suspended our appointment reminder service by text message, but we will be able to offer this again as soon as we change clinical system.
In the meantime if you have a mobile phone please let us know the number and give us your permission to use this so we can remind you of any appointments or let you know when clinics are running from June 2012
If you change your number please inform us so we can keep your records up to date.
Internet access to surgery services
You can access information about all our services from the menu above, and if you have registered, you can book appointments, order prescriptions, and pass messages to the surgery via the website using a secure system.
Ask at the front desk about this very useful service. Increasing numbers of patients are now booking their appointments online, and ordering their presscriptions in the same way.
Telephone system
We bought an entirely new telephone sytem earlier this year, and you can access different options via multiple lines by dialing 01733 556900.
Please note: We cannot accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions for reasons of clinical safety, so please order by bringing in or posting in the tear off sheet from your last prescription, or by faxing it to us on 01733 556911 You can also place your request directly through our clinical system (please ask at reception for a login), or through Boots, Tesco or Hampton Pharmacy.
